Size: 24" x 30" (Level 3 Canvas) and ships from Littleton, CO.
Created over three months using premium materials and professional archival techniques.
“The Fire That Drank the Stars” is a three‑month labor of love — a textured acrylic masterpiece blending earth, fire, water, and cosmos into one mythic scene. This piece marks a new chapter in my work, created with Gaffrey Art Material texture paint to sculpt the flames into dimensional, touchable strokes that rise from the canvas like living embers.
A glowing campfire burns at the edge of a lake or shoreline, its light reflecting across the water as the sky melts from a warm sunset into my signature galaxy gradient. The horizon fades upward into deep purples, blues, and star‑dusted black — a night sky so vast it feels like it’s swallowing the fire… or perhaps the fire is swallowing it.
The fire and the rocks at the base were sculpted with Gaffrey Art Materials thick texture paint, giving the flames a raised, dimensional look. The surrounding water, sky, and galaxy were painted with Liquitex and Winsor & Newton acrylics, layered over months to create depth, atmosphere, and emotion. The entire piece is sealed with Liquitex matte varnish for protection against dust, UV light, and the elements.
This artwork is created on a Level 3, 24×30 inch, professional stretched canvas, signed, dated, and inscribed on the back with a handwritten quote — a tradition in all my original paintings. The quote on the back reads, “You are not the darkness you endured. You are the light that refused to surrender.”
