About the Artist

My name is Jamie Tenny (Novotny) and I’m an acrylic artist and emerging graphic designer based in Colorado. I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, beginning with sketchbooks and evolving into a decade‑long passion for painting vibrant galaxies, fantasy worlds, and imaginative scenes filled with bold color.

In 2015, I founded Cryptic Charm Art, a studio dedicated to making original artwork and handcrafted pieces accessible to everyone. Each painting is signed “Immy,” a nickname from junior‑high that has become a personal mark of identity and storytelling.

Today, my creative practice spans both traditional and digital mediums. While acrylic painting remains at the heart of my work, I’m expanding into graphic design, where I combine my love for expressive color with clean composition, symbolism, and intentional visual communication. I work primarily in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fresco as I build a portfolio that reflects this next chapter of my artistic journey.

Whether I’m crafting dreamcatchers, painting at my kitchen counter, or designing digital pieces with my favorite movies playing in the background, every creation is made with care, curiosity, and a deep love for art. I’m supported endlessly by my husband and dog, who cheer me on through every project.
